blue star—a corinneurotic mixtape
i recently spent a good chunk of time at a hospital (for someone very close to me, i should clarify). i’ll keep the reasons undisclosed. taped outside the door of the room was a blue star which signified, “this patient is likely to fall.” at the time, it was simply a symbol to notify nurses they should keep an eye out. but in retrospect, the phrase translates to so much more to me now—figuratively, emotionally, and literally.
